No chance with a hacksaw on the lock itself, i wouldnt even waste my time.
With all the right equipment you've got several options.
Save the padlock. It is possible (with the right stuff) . A welding rod, grind the tip into the finest point you can, and sometimes you can extract the broken key (i have managed this before, but sometimes it doesnt work)
Remove the padlock. Disc cutter with a cutting blade.
You could cut the hasp and save the padlock to see if you can get the key out later. Good padlocks are expensive.
Virtually no chance of drilling the lock, you'll just break the drill bit in all probablity.
Or find a way of getting to the screws...or if you need to get in the shed first, you can sometimes knock the pins out of the hinges.
