Oh you'd be surprised how clean a cut a dremel cutting disc makes. You have to be careful cutting outer cable though because if cutting for too long, the plastic casing can melt which makes a right mess.
I'm genuinely curious, as I don't own a Dremel. After you have cut the wire, do you have to reshape the end of the wire with your fingers into a roughly circular shape so that you can pop a ferrule on? With specialist cutters, you can put the ferrule on straight away after the cut.

Carbon fibre... LMAO!!!
Some diamond and fibreglass discs can leave a few strands lose that you can just wind back in again, but if you don't go nuts and use a standard disc you can get better than this...
