What do you mean you tried? Is the cable frayed and you can't get it through the hole?
The cable isnt frayed. I tried putting the cable through the hole but doesnt go in.

Have you completely removed the nut and checked whether there is a hole in the bolt thread that the cable can slide through?

I have seen cheaper, or even not so cheap models, without a hole in the bolt for the cable. The cable is held under a washer which is sometimes grooved . This should work in your case if you can’t thread the cable through the hole, that or get a new bolt.

perhaps if you could explain , WHY the cable doesn't go in, then more help will be offered , simply stating , it doesnt go in, doesn't help
Yes, i never had this problem before
I tried removing the nut but it doesnt get loose enough to remove the nut
I tried removing it, but doesnt come out. It seems that the hole is not big enough anymore.

I live in the uk. Im not sure which size i need. Also, i cant take the old pinch bolt out as its seized.

A good dose of WD40 and bit of twisting with a pair of pliers should see it out.
