Ive used the ultegra ones and had to change after 1400 commuting miles...then the koolstop salmon and changed after 1000 miles...I put these cheap ones on 500 miles ago and cant fault them really...

Do Swissstop make blocks (as well as pads for the other systems)?
They do indeed:

The link shows the pad and holder, which you can buy as a set. You just buy the pads from them on. They usually sell the pads in pairs, but you can gets sets of four too, so make sure that you check in ordering.

They are more expensive than Shimano pads, but they work better, last longer, wear the rims less, and are far cleaner too. I have 1,200 miles on the GHP2's. I also have 2,900 miles on the Carbon Black Prince's. Both sets have plenty of life left in them.

Both Swiss stop green and koolstop salmons are excellent, probably recommmed Swissstops of the two.

Another user of Clarks here. The dual compound were recommended by my LBS for my Sora equipped Cannondale and they have lasted much better than than the Aztecs previously used.
