You mean that there are other people out there who think that protecting ones head whilst engaging in an activity where it might come into contact with a road/vehicle/etc is a good idea - he must obviously be 'WRONG'

Not at all. He's wrong that cycle helmet compulsion would do anything to improve head injury rates.

I also stated this a couple of pages back - you are cherry picking

Not deliberately. I can't possibly remember every post already made.

Here for rides.
An on road helmet that would protect my head adequately at the sorts of speeds I prefer to crash at, on road, has yet to be invented.

That did not answer either of my questions.

Not from your level of expertise could you tell us in your own words what the tests tell us, does it tell us the minimum or maximum levels of protection each and every helmet offers.

To what end? I've read the literature, I've listened to the arguments and concluded that the current crop of helmets, despite what the researchers at the University of It Stands to Reason have to say, are not designed to work at the sorts of speeds I'm travelling at on road. So what would be the point of wearing one? (other than to protect the rapidly healing scar on my scalp obtained in a 25mph+ on road crash when not wearing a helmet. Tsk. Tsk)

and you know a lot of EN1078 compliant helmets can't even pass Snell 90A right?

So do we share 'any' common ground on this issue ?

Well, I think we both want cyclists to be safer.

GC, not a politician by any chance are you? still cannot answer a simple question.

Little clue, just because you are traveling at an internet speed of 25mph does not mean your head will strike the road if it does when you crash.

Now try again and answer those two questions I asked earlier.

a bit cheeky, given Greg has recently come off at 25mph, hit his head, and would have been worse off if he had been wearing a helmet..........

Not cheeky, he made a statement I asked a question.

Please enlighten me how you know for sure and certain that he would have been worse off.

I answered the question. The problem is you don't like the answer.
