The fact is that any one who goes faster than me down a hill is a nutter and anyone I overtake is a wuss.
Same here.

Box hill is the only hill in Londonshire !
Wow lots of cyclists.
Must video some of our descents in the Peak.
Are there still hordes of yobs blatting around on the current equivalents of GS1000s, Z1000s, Lemons and CBXs?
You should see the number of cyclist going up it on a sunny Sunday morning. A few weeks back there must have been over 100 cyclists at the cafe at the top of the hill. A cup of coffee and CAKE is a nice reward for getting to the top (the National Trust do good business and they do have a good range of cakes). It's "only" a Cat 4 climb but still a nice challenge.Cool video.
Is that the normal number of cyclists you see on box hill? good to see so many people out.

The category of climbs does seem a bit arbitory as mentioned in this recent CC thread https://www.cyclechat.net/If Box Hill is a cat 4 climb I'm curious as to what Barhatch lane, near Cranleigh would be. That one feels much harder.
It's got very popular since they announced the 2012 Olympic road race will see the riders go up there twice!

Box hill isn't in London
I think the only one I didn't do is Box Hill (Leith is a killer).

I haven't been to Barhatch (might have a look). One of the nastiest little climbs I've done in the North Downs is Crocknorth. Doesn't even qualify as a Cat 4 as it isn't long enough but half a mile at 10% was too much for me the first time I encountered it.
Edit:
Yes Barhatch does look nasty I think I'll leave it for this year. Found a site that lists a few hills of interest in the North Downs (most of which I've crawled up recently) - http://jibbering.com/hills/
Yes it is. It is the only hill I have failed to get up without putting a foot down.
I'm not sure why that site has Box Hill zig-zags as peaking at 14.6%, it is nowhere near that. If it were that steep it would have a chevron on the OS map.
