I saw my first Alpine a few weeks ago and was struck by how nice..and pleasantly different looking from the run of the mill cars we get nowadays.
Enjoy...

Nice toy .

I had a Toyota MR2 from 1989 to 2004 (ish). With my ill gotten gains from 43 years of pension I might buy another a a toy, either that or a MK 1 Astra GTE .

Yes, it was a toss up for me, do I go for a classic car and spend every weekend fettling or do I get something new and just go out and enjoy it.

As there are very few of the only classic car I wanted come up for sale (Gilbern Invader) I decided to go new.

Mate brought a Audi TT MK2 nice car!

As would a z4 3.0.

Also a mini cooper S would be nice too..

I asked AI to show the 'real' me.
Are you approaching or have you retired?

Apparently on retirement people do three things - get a fast car, go on holidays, and get a younger partner. You've achieved #1.

I retired about six years ago. To be honest with each passing year you just start thinking we need to spend some money whilst relatively fit and able enough to enjoy stuff.

I have recently ordered a well specced Orbea Gain as I have a bit of a gammy leg and non assisted cycling is getting more and more painful . Incidentally that too is orange!

Holidays, yes do loads of them.

Younger partner? How much do they cost and can you order them on Amazon 😊

I never saw what the production figures were for Gilberns but, as a teenager in the 70s, an Invader was a rare sight, even back then.
