Steady there, I'll explain

Mrs exbigfatba***** has only been cycling less than a week now.

At this early stage, it seemed to make sense to get something for taking along the canal towpath at a leisurely pace to build confidence . All we needed was a working bike and the local Gumtree and a princely £40 sorted us out. If she takes to it and wants to move on, we'll stick it back on Gumtree for the same £40 and upgrade if required.

The BSO does have a Shimano drivetrain which is all working fine and after a light fettle this afternoon, so are the brakes. Everything else is fine and it's actually quite presentable.

So, tomorrow SWMBO, SWMBO junior and myself will be having a few leisurely miles on the bikes.

Woohoo :-)

Auchinstarry start off.
Tea and cake at the Falkirk wheel I would think.
Then back to Auchinstarry.

Hopefully the weather will play ball.

Start of easy...my wife had her first bike this year bought for her at a princely £2!!!

I spoil that woman, I really do!

Well done !

You can get some bargains if you look around .

If the bike is set up right and does the job you need it for then there is nothing wrong with it, i certainly would not like to try and pootle along in the park on my road bikes so i have considered getting a ebay special for that job when mini CK is big enough.

Over the last 3 years of commuting i have gone from a rigid MTB hybrid to road bikes, if i ad it up i have had 4 bikes, now looking at my 5th .I upgrade and then sell them when i need want a better bike ,normally through ebay .
