Bottom bracket

I have a Boardman slr 8.9 carbon bike and need to replace the bottom bracket which is a FSA BB-CF86/CZ Pressfit for MegaExo Chainset. Is there a Shimano equivalent or any others besides FSA ? Is there anything I would need to know when shopping for one? I already use a Shimano 105 r7000 crankset (24mm) with the existing FSA bottom bracket.

If it's a BB86 compatible frame (which I think it might be) then you should be able to replace the BB with the Shimano one. Check the documentation that came with the bike if you have it available.

As you're using a Shimano chainset that will make it easier as megaexo comes in two versions - 24mm and 19mm and you don't want the latter.

I do need a BB replacement but the squeaking noise I was hearing when riding my bike was coming from the free hub bearings.

What is pitted? It was full of dirt and turning roughly but the bearings where still shining chrome coloured so I cleaned it out and greased them which will give me some more time to get a selection of bearings and the tools to do the job.
