Your choice of a 1X crankset to fit will depend on your preferences and pocket, but it must have a 30mm spindle (which would fit into a bike with a BB30 fitted as well, btw).

In terms of general principles - yes. But if you watch enough of Hambini (and can stand that much profanity) it becomes clear that it is most often let down by poor alignment of the hole through the frame.
