Bottle cage placement on a Carlton frame?

I've got an old 1972 Carlton which doesn't have bosses for bottle cages. Have metal clips to put two on. However, don't want to obscure the logos or the green and red stripes on the down tube and the seat tube which means usual placements aren't an option. Where have you guys mounted yours?

Ended up being mounted in the traditional places. Covered the T which is a shame but at least I have places to put bottles now!
