I know it isn't too far
This is totally subjective, everyone at some point in their life considered 30 miles to be far. Enjoy the event, hope the weather holds for you and be ready to book another one straight after. :okay:

Before Christmas I booked myself onto the Tour of Pembrokeshire in April Chose the 50-mile option (shortest of three) but it will be hilly. It will be my longest ride to date. Great incentive to start building longer rides in over the weekends. My usual weekend ride is 10-15 miles only, so this is a good excuse to stay out a bit longer.

I've not looked at the routes this year but last year the 50 miler avoided all the biggest climbs so It may not be too bad if that makes you feel any better!?

When I got my bike in August 2014 I really fancied a big un, so entered a 100 mile sportive for October 2014, steadily built up my rides until I had done a couple of 70's then went for it. Raised over £300 for cancer research in the process. So long as you've done at least three quarters of the milage the buzz of the day will get you through the rest.
