Unless you are expert with strong thumbs, get a bike shop to fit!! They are tough buggers

I fitted marathon pluses to my commuter bike recently after two punctures in one commute. I didn't find fitting them as difficult as I'd feared (having read nightmare tales on the Internets). If they are difficult, there is a good guide here:

However, the puncture resistance comes at the price of ride comfort / quality! There is no way I'd put them on my fun bike!

A lot depends on the rim, I had them fitted to my hybrid when I first got in to cycling as I was scared to death of getting a flat.
The ones I have recently put on the mtb were surprisingly easy to fit, whereas a 'normal' tyre on my road bike are a bugger to get on.

I referred to the Spa Cycles you tube video and used a cable tie as a 'third hand' so I could work both thumbs on the recalcitrant bead. Went on OK but I've never taken it off again. It was easier just to swop the wheel over. It's still there in the back of the garage, looking at me, saying "Come on if you think you're hard enough."

M+ tyres and, just in case of a valve failure or tube failure, I have a pair of metal tyre levers, for the M+ equipped bike ( 700c * 37 tyres ).
