Hi, I have inherited a 1985 Bob Jackson Golden Jubilee 531, I wish to sell it. Is it worth advertising using a specialist site and if so could you recommend one, or should I just place on eBay etc?
Thank you

Victoria - If the person who left you this bike had cycling buddies, they may be able to help you clean up and help you sell the bike.

The keys to successfully selling a classic bike are:

1) Clean it up well - or have someone at a shop who knows and loves older bikes do this for you;

2) Take many detailed photos of the bike and its components, especially the lugs (joints) and the frame details such as the serial number. Provide detailed frame dimensions.

3) Knowing the bike's history and background are important to convey its significance if you want to get the best possible return on it.

You could try advertising it on here. Biggsy beat me to it. You'll be able to do so after a few more posts.
As above, lots of pics including all the components. A bit of history would help too. Condition is everything.
Check on the EvilBay for a price check, a quick butchers on there revealed Bob Jackson bikes of that era are going for anything from £300/900.

That is a very nice bike and looks to be in excellent condition. You’re sure to get plenty of interest. Purists might not like the more modern wheels but a minor point.
Important to state the frame size. It is measured from the centre bolt on the chainset to the top of the seat tube. Looks to be around 23”. Also document the parts like Campagnolo wheels, Stronglight chainset, Campag or whatever derailleur etc.
When you advertise it put it against a plain dark background if you can
