I 'm showing worrying symptoms of a MLC. I tried to grow my hair long but shaved it off instead in a tantrum when it wouldn't go into a ponytail.
Anyway, here's the rub. I've started listening to my oldest albums from the 60's and 70's and realise that I have nothing from Bob Dylan since Blood on the Tracks. Can anyone recommend me an album of his since 1975 till now?

I even listened to some of my old Roy Harper stuff. Bit pretentious but tuneful in a dreary sort of way.

Now, about that motorbike.........

Time out of mind and love and theft. Enjoyed both enormously. The best Dylan's been since sometime in the early 70s IMO.

Did you shave your hair completely off or did you leave enough to get it streaked, or dyed peroxide blonde? Have you been on a sunbed yet?

Speaking of blondes, you need one, who is at least 15 years younger than you, in your new sports car, which you are about to buy.;)

It was down to a number 1 but it's grown just long enough to put some gel in it for the Jimmy Somerville look!

I did actually dye it once a few years back before it went grey. Ash Blond - I got some funny looks!

I'll have to ask Mrs rich p if she'll let me have a young bit on the side. Is there a black eye smiley?

I'll see if I can get hold of at least one the Dylan suggestions. Thanks

;) There you go.

I'm growing my hair too. But that's more to do with the fact that I'm a lazy scruffy bastard, rather than the fact that I'm approaching 40.

Hey Rich I so know where you are coming from .
Last year I suddenly announced I was going to buy a classic motorbike. Scoured the ads ,bought all the mags ,finally bought a 1965 BSA 650 Spitfire .
What a beast. I'd forgotten how heavy the old 60's bike's were.
Anyway it all ended in tears. I exited the MOT garage with majestic roar only to go straight over the handlebars with the bike on top of me. The brake lining had delaminated and jammed the front brake. ;)

I only hope I don't decide to try roller skating next

Recommend Modern Times its not bad .Been trying all my oldies lately
How about John Martyn, Bert Jansch, Tom Waits, Kevin Coyne, Van Morrison , The Stones, Animals......... boy you've got some catching up to do:biggrin:

What about listening to the recordings of the radio shows he presented for BBC Radio? Supposed to be pretty good. I wouldn't mind some of that myself.
nor me. I managed to miss all of them. Where can you hear them?

Modern Times and Desire.......you can join me in Sheffield to see the great man on April 23rd  and a Roy Harper fan to boot.

Also got tickets to see Springsteen in Glasgow, 3.5 hours away. Midlife crisis? I reckon you're only as old as your mind tells you...... the knnes are lieing
