Was looking at Halfrauds yesterday. Looking at something more suitable for the Manchester to Blackpool compared to my Mountain bike based hybrid. Was impressed with the look off the Team Hybrid (spotted the Hybrid Comp on line later).

Does anyone have any thoughts on these two bikes or is there anything else similiar worth considering?

Both very well specced for the cash and impossible to beat at the price. Allow for a bit of extra cash in case your local halfords don't set it up right and it needs to go to a decent local bike shop to be done.

One tip - if you buy order online as they are discounted (the Team being £100 off). I'd say the team was well worth the extra for the hydraulic discs and carbon fork alone ( I'm about to buy one!)

I've been riding the Boardman hybrid Comp since last April got through C2WS .
Can't fault it , I go out cycling with guys on Road bikes and I dont have a problem keeping up with them.
Its quite racey by design.

I have found my Boardman SC Comp fixed to be a brilliant bike, absolutly love it and it has prooved it's worth in this bad snow.I would have thought the geared versions will be as good,go for it,they are good for the money and good on the reliablity stakes.

Thanks for the replies.

I have also been looking around online and like the look off This but would like to have a look at one 1st before making a decision.

two quite different bikes there.

Are you going far off road? The boardman is a great road bike and will do light paths, trails etc. the crosstrail will go further off road but be heavier and a total overkill on the road if that's all it is for.

The roughest i tend to go is canal paths and some trails but not heavy mud.
