Boardman CX Comp Tyre Upgrade

The tyres on this Boardman CX Comp (700x32C) are worn and need to be replaced, I was looking to upgrade them to a better brand and tread - does anyone know if I can go to a thicker tyre than 32mm on this frame?

Should be able to, would have come with something fatter originally.

A mix of both really, I use it through winter (Oct - April), to get to the gravel paths around my home, I need to cover a fair bit of road.

35mm Schwalbe one gravel folding tyres on my ‘winter’ bike (not the tubeless ones). Absolutely fine on mucky roads and not too costly. Merlin tend to have good prices on tyres

I wouldn't go above 35mm tbh.

I have wiggle commuter tyres cheap but roll well.

Yes, 35mm is what I'm thinking, I like the tan sidewall type....just an aesthetics thing. (tin hat on!)

I run 32 mm tyres with mudguards on my CX Comp. There's plenty of room for 35 mm even with the mudguards. You'll have no trouble fitting up to at least 40 mm.

Could drop to a 650b wheel and then go up to a 42/45c tyre but might be too hard going on the road?

i ran that exact bike with both 35 and 32mm vittoria randonneur tyres and they were a huge improvement although made the bike more road than gravel…

I run 32 mm tyres with mudguards on my CX Comp. There's plenty of room for 35 mm even with the mudguards. You'll have no trouble fitting up to at least 40 mm.

I've ordered a pair of 40mm tyres from Wiggle for £7.99 each, to see if I like 40mm tyres on my winter bike.
