Nice one! I picked up a second hand comp 2010 version recently & couldn't be happier - there's something about the 'fit' on these bikes that makes them a real joy to ride- very quick & responsive even with an wheezing old git like me on board...! Couldn't get on with the saddle though- I highly recommend the Charge Spoon if things get wince inducing!

They are nice (but then I'm biased.)

The tightness should loosen, if it doesn't it'll be sorted on the 6 week service. If you can't wait that long, just take it back and they'll sort it for you

I love my SC Comp but it does not have those gear things on it ! Mines a fixie and it is just a brilliant bike...it must be because i did the 212k Cotswold Classic Audax on it.

212K on a fixie? What was it like? (I love mine, but I've always felt a bit wary of taking it on long rides...something to do with never being able to coast even for a few seconds.)

On my double tap levers the front mech shifter (left hand side) is quite a bit firmer to press, particularly when releasing the tension to go to the small chainring. Mine has been like that for nearly two years. I think it's pretty normal.

The last few km's were a test but i had been out for nearly 13 hours !!! The hills on the Cotswold classic are harsh but the the two that stopped me dead in the pedals were just short little nasty ones which i could not get a good run at,the long hauls were no problem.I have changed to seat for a Brookes and added Pro-file aero bars because i do not do drops.
