My best is 70ish and that includes anti depression meds!!!
Different people have different resting heart rates. Unless its high, don't read too much into it. Indurain's was 29 and Lance Armstrong's 32 but most people are 60-100.

A new headstone.
It pretty much says im going to die..
Since cycling i have lost nearly 2.5 stone and i was feeling pretty good with my self (i know i need to loose more)
I went to check my BMI to see what i need to get down to, to be my ideal weight.
I am 6' 2" tall roughly and now weight about 17 stone, it says i need to be 13-14 stone.
Even when i was training six times a week playing rugby i only managed 15 and a half stone!![]()

I used to manage at 80bpm when I was a heavy smoker.![]()
Try taking your HR as soon as you wake up and relax your breathing, you may be surprised how low you can get.
+1 for BMI being a crock of $hite![]()

When I was 6 foot and 11 stone the BMI calculators told me I was clinically obese. BMI is the biggest pseudo medical joke of the times.
As I said earlier it was from one site I found. Others gave different results.Sorry Dave but thats not right.
At 5ft 10 the top end of my healthy weight range is 12 stone 3 lbs according to the NHS guide to BMI.
So only another two stone to go. I am down to 15 stoneI have used the NHS health tools site and found it worked out about right for me .I am about 7 lbs above now ,and iot shows.
I put in 6 ft for someone approx your age and it gives 13 stone as top of your ideal weight range.

I know it doesnt work for everyone. For example muscular athletes weigh in as overweight but it does work for me.
I would like to get back to my pre thyroid problem shape but I'm pretty happy at the mo.100 hilly miles at 16 mph I wouldnt worry too much .
This morning I decided to make an effort to drop the half a stone I put on.All went well until we had a takeaway for tea tonight.
