Took the broken link out last night and fixed the chain back on, albeit 1 link shorter. I've got the links I took off the chain when I first put it on a couple of weeks ago but couldn't find them last night.

So hopefully after I've replaced that, and sorted out the stiff link it'll be running smoothly again (fingers crossed)

I must be the only person in the world to like shimano chains and pins.

I like Shimano chains too, but use KMC links. This is necessary as I proved yesterday when I fitted the new uni-directional chain back to front. Took moments to correct.

For commuting i always carry a chain tool and a quick link .
