I sure it ultimately wouldn't harm them, but that's besides the point.
Had it simply been left there was the possibility of harm to flora and fauna, and had it rained then was a serious possibility of it etching into the stone in a semi permanent manner, or getting into the groundwater.
It couldnt legally be left for all sorts of environmental regulatory rrasons, so it had to be cleared up, and a charity has had to spend time and money in doing so which is not good form.
I'm actually all for the ultimate objective, but it's not the likes of enlightened cyclists thar need convincing. Its car driving middle England that need bringing round, and these antics are doing the opposite. They're so dense or rabid - I'm not entirely sure which - that they don't seem to realise that they're pushing their objective further out of reach, which is a shame.
Their Faceook pages also show one of them on multiple foreign holidays, so it's "do as we say..." all over again.
The poor quality of our protesters makes us a laughing stock around the world. The French fisherman laugh into their breakfast vino at the thought of the ineptness of JSO.
