What is Black about it?

I always thought it was to signify the the time of year that retailers started to turn a profit, I.e. Moving into the black from the red. But it seems to have many meanings bordering from lots of traffic to racism.

Its great when you go out on black Friday and come back with nothing, because you have everything you need.

Let me guess - PCWorld / Curry's?! Their pricing strategy is amazing sometimes (actually its probably so they can drop it in the january sales and say its a discount, guess you were lucky to get it when you did)

Argos,got the laptop and 1 tb external HDD for less than the cost of the laptop now.

Perhaps it didn't help that several large retailers publicly admitted they would have better deals on Boxing day.
