Does anyone know anything about BKL e-cargo trikes? Can you get them serviced in London? There are some nice-looking ones (ex of Urb-it) knocking around, but I am wary of buying something I have never heard of, that I can’t get serviced and will have zero resale value. I’m a gardener, so don’t need the heavy-duty cargo trike, but need something I can rely upon.

I am also considering the Radkutsche Musketier (also ex of Urb-it), but this is maybe larger than I require.

The BKLs all seem to use a Bafang mid-drive unit, and those are generally fairly straight forward to service. The transmission seems to be relatively standard trike stuff so shouldn't be too hard finding someone who can work on it. You could try people like London Green Cycles to see what they say. No idea how well the frames hold up on them though, and I might think carefully about lugging heavy loads on small wheels if the roads in your area aren't great.

For commercial use I'd generally advise going for something over-specced (within reason) rather than under as you'll regret a lack of capability more than too much.
