Thanks for all the suggestions - a holiday does sound enticing but it`s a no-win situation for me. Either I go on my own and have to sleep on the sofa for the rest of my life or I take mt wife and well, what would be the point in doing that, I want to enjoy myself.......

Take the bike to a training camp in Majorca in the spring?

I have taken your advice - booked in for 6 days cycling staying in Port de Pollenca! Flights, accommodation and most importantly, biked booked.

Majorca looks a tad hilly tho lol

It doesn’t have to be if you don’t want to ride the mountains

Port de Pollensa has nice flattish routes around
Do your research as to where to hire the bike

I wasn’t impressed by Bewheels (or similar) last year

I took a friend`s advice, he has been there a few times and have plumped for Pinarello Experience - gonna ride a bike I could never afford lol
