On the pooter...

Here we go Mr H, on some old skool 7400 Dura Ace cranks.

Oh and the C Record Looks pedals got there as they were the best ARC float pedals available 20 years ago - cost £120 'slightly used' from my LBS - I snapped their hands off. The DA pedals had no float -I got rid.

i was interested in seeing what are the best upgrades for my road bike (giant defy 5) one site said rotor Q rings are a must and other sites rave about them, are they an upgrade only for the very serious of riders or is it worth getting done. i guess a bike shop would have to fit them. any other suggestions on upgrades i am already thinking which saddle to get as the standard giant one is not comfortable. cheers
:bicycle:
My defy 5 is getting the cast offs from my TCR1 advanced as I upgrade that . Ive just swapped the wheels over for the P-SL1 and there is a noticeable difference . Saddle is the Fizik arione but I want to swap that over for a Selle SLR . Tyres are armadilos but I want / need the puncture protection for the defy5 . I may swap the drop bars over but im not sure there will be much benefit in it as neither are carbon so the bars on the 5 may well be lighter .

The P-SL1's are about £225 . I have no idea if there is a better wheel out there for that price . I just had them so put them on .
Or was it the dancing tips you liked

Get some continental GP force+attack chilli tires! 22c front and 24c rear. The pair cost £58 cheapest I found. Super light, fast rolling and great on the corners once you've learnt to trust them.

Next upgrade is a rather odd one. Change the fork!
Get a full carbon one- planet x full carbon sell for peanuts. Normally £30 on eBay. Even cheaper than a carbon seat post! (Note* make sure the steerer is long enough ;))

ultegra wheel set are my favourite and always have been. Great price, light as hell and look rather clean.
