bike stands/storage

I've got 3 bikes in a tiny room in my rented flat, and slowly but surely I'm damaging the walls with the handle bars, and the carpet too - even though I take great care not too! Also, generally I just want to tidy the place up a bit!

Has anyone tried a bike stand like the one below? (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=50398). Or can you recommend any other bike stands?

I like that! I use a mix of proper bike hangers and ladder hangers

I'm in a similar position with two bikes in a one bedroom place and I'm thinking about getting a couple of these.

Sticking them next to the chimney breast means they won't stick out into the room so much, but of course you have to drill the wall which your landlord might not allow.

It also occurs to me that you would need something to protect the wall from the back tyre.

The rack you've linked to looks like a beautifully simple solution, but I don't have enough free wall space.

I have one of the and a dead expensive Topeak one. Topeak is lighter, but that's it, plus much more expensive. Neither need fixings, so it's easy to move them about.
