Bike Sizing

Just a quickie.....

I was asked this today by a mate and I had no idea lol.

Are bike sizes different per each type of bike?

Hyrbid, MTB, Road?

So if im 56cm on road im not necessarily that on a MTB?

Yes, and even within the same type, e.g road the same number doesn't correspond to the same size/geometry

It's a minefield that's why if a newbie, buy from a good local shop

I normally have an XL frame (I'm tall for a girl!) Sat on a Small frame the other day and it didn't feel that off!!! So yes, they can all be different.
