Bike shops in Huddersfield

Anyone know of any decent bike shops preferably in/near the town centre?
Going there tuesday so thought I would pop in somewhere for some shoes and bar ends,maybe a jacket as well.

But looking at the opening hour's on the site it says they are closed on Tuesday's .... but that does say winter opening times, may be different in the summer ....

I'd say to avoid Wheelspin if at all possible. They have some nice kit; but it's not exactly cheap, and I've found the attitude of the staff leaves something to be desired (and I think they ripped me off on a recent service, so I'm biased).

Velocity are a decent bunch, always friendly and willing to help (but can be a bit slow on the service side)... would still recommend them tho.

Cheers all,GF got a job interview so gonna drive her there thought I would pass the time by doing a bit of cycle gear shopping,will try both shops while I'm there.

Velocity is great, very friendly and knowledgeable. Wheelspin appear to have changed into a Downhiller's paradise judging by their website

If Bob at Velocity doesn't have all the shoes you want (he only keeps limited stock) then try "Trycycling" at Kirkburton, or if you're on the other side of town, then Pedalsport at King Cross in Halifax.

Sowerby Bros in Mirfield isn't bad.
