Hi
I was looking for a ride this weekend round Willesden Junction way of about 10 miles.
And was just wondering if anyone had any good suggestions? I don't know the area very well....
Any thoughts gratefully received!

I know Willesden Junction a bit and I would say that unless you are an experienced rider, Willesden is not very cycling friendly. How about getting on a train up to Bushey and setting out from there? You could then go down towards Aldenham, Radlett, Patchetts Green, Letchmore Heath. OS map 166 is the one for this area.

It's a bit urban / hostile round there, but it is at the intersection of two nice routes!

One is the run up towards Hampstead, by the back roads. Very pleasant at night when there is virtually no traffic. The other is the Grand Union Canal.

I suppose you could form a circle by going up to Hampstead then down to pick up the canal in St Johns Wood.
