Moderator Note:
Welcome to our new members from Bike Radar :welcome:
Just for your info, your first few (5) posts will have to be approved by a human moderator when one of the mods team comes online.
Cycle Chat has been set up this way to prevent spam.
If you could familiarize yourselves with the forum's rulz and regs please?
To keep the main forum relevant to cycling, current affairs and politics must be discussed on the dedicated, not moderated, sister forum NCA&P.
You will be able to ask for a log in to NCA&P after your first 5 posts.
Cheers from the mods!

Thanks @Pat "5mph" . Yup, I've just alerted potential refugees about the dedicated politics sister forum and the need for a separate log-in for that. It's sad to see the BR forum disappear, but it had shrunk a lot, and we'd all congregated around the last working valve radio. The CS fogeys had been not (or self) moderated for quite a while, so should slot right in without too many problems, I think.

"continually rising operational costs mean we are very sadly no longer able to support the BikeRadar forum. "

There wasn't that many left on there posting, and I'd guess it wasn't driving people to look at the main website. I know I never looked at it.

Yeah - TBH I was surprised that it restarted after the last (minor) revamp, but at least they've given a few days notice of the demolition. Ditto, I'd not hopped over to the main BR site for years - I just went in the CS bar to have a beer and a chinwag with all the weird people in there.

Did the £11m potential fine under the new Online "Safety" Act give it the final push, maybe?
