Bike names

I bought this from Tim Gartside in the mid 1980's

Never gave it a name. Now resides in a transport museum 'up north'

My gorgeous little bike is called Liesl after the oldest daughter in the Sound of Music as it's my favourite film. The husband's brand new (1 hour old) Dawes Supergalaxy has yet to be named. His old bike was called the Tank because it was so heavy and ploddy. It was a good name though...

No names for mine, despite the number of years I've had them...

Herety for the Herety, Ribble for the Ribble and mountain bike for the Diamond Back Mountain bike/commuter...

Blue bike or green bike as far as the kids are concerned.

My summer bike, (Alu/Carbon/Campag) is called "Babe", 'cos she is beautiful and sexy. The winter/wet bike (ditto spec) is named Brunhilde. She is more substantial, but still fetching.

My wife calls my Kaffenback the Cappucino. She's called my white OCR which I crashed on earlier this year several names, none of which I can quote here!

My Dawes hybrid (currently on loan to a friend) is called George for the same reason....

My touring bike the Raleigh Venture Pioneer is called Bob

My hybrid Claud Butler Odyssey is called Delilah. My step son and step daughter came up with these names.
If and when I buy another bike it has to be called Gladys
