I brought my Ridgeback Adventure used at a bargain price from the LBS and maybe I'm getting fussy but its looking a bit tatty. It's nothing I've done it was like this when I brought it, the front deraileur has lost its chrome and the same on some of the nuts so I think some replacements are overdue, whilst I'm at it the pedals are scraped where the previous owner threw it on the floor so good excuse to buy some new ones. The odd paint chip I'm covering in clear laquer I stand no chance of matching the paint and I can't have it off the road to strip and respray. Don't get me wrong I love the bike and ride it every chance I get so don't want to change it( not that I could afford to), so maybe some nice clean new bits, a decent clean all over and there is that wireless computer I spotted the other day, after all I keep repairing the lead on the wired one

Since going over to a roadbike my Ridgeback Adventure has been relegated to the garden shed. I went for a ride on it the other day just to stop it all from siezing up and I had to unwind vine weed from the front wheel before using it. Anyway, a wash and brush up and some oil and it forgave me for it's neglect. I only keep it for towing the trailer to the shops or for fishing, plus it has full mudguards and panniers which are very useful.

Now thats a good idea Abo, I used to drive a Grey Fergie tractor that was full of battle scars. At least it will look likes its owner, an old banger but in good mechanical condition
