Thanks for all the replies .I was surprised at the steepnes of foot angle,it didnt feel that steep riding.I have dropped the saddle 10mm and flipped the stem back to its horizontal position so will try that and see how it goes.

There is a pile of spacers under the stem once I get used to the new position i may move one or two 5mm spacers to above the stem and try that ,see how it goes as it is first.

wow, hang on a minute - the saddle height looked fine, and if you did want to lower it then 1 or 2mm is plenty - not 10mm in one go!

If you want to go faster then lower the handlebars - you will lose some comfort though.

Nothing wrong with the foot angle either - this will change when riding and will depend on many factors.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Have found it useful when checking KOPS to position a piece of tape or similar on top tube using a spirit level held vertical from the pedal spindle with crank at 3 oclock- if you see what I mean. You can then check your knee position easily.

Think your right, Did 7 or 8 miles earlier including a couple of good hills and it definitely feels low, really felt it on the tops of the thighs. I will put it half way back up (5 mm in morning and try again.

Re the knee position /seat front to back position , I think I will leave that for now, if i make too many adjustments at once it will be hard to know which is an improvement or not.Once completely happy with bar and seat height I will try the spirit level tip and possibly move the seat back a little..
