Well I've been out twice since the bike fit 20 mile on Friday and 35 mile today, I am delighted to report things are much better than pre fit, still get a twinge in the lower back after an hour ish but nowhere near as bad as it was (and its still early days ) so quietly confident of further improvement as my new riding position becomes more familiar. the main improvement is that I'm so much more relaxed on the bike, everything just "seems to fit" that little bit better.
During the fit Adrian pointed out that I appeared to be stretching hence the shorter stem, and I have to admit I do feel things are already much better.
To summarise my initial thoughts are ----money well spent ^_^

Oh and first ride of the year without over shoes ^_^^_^

You guys with bike fits, what do you do when you take things apart to clean and regrease say because they're squeaking. How do you ensure everything goes back where it should to the exact mm?

It's the only thing that puts me off the expense of a bike fit.

Geo. I've been interested in a bike fit for a while. Just out of interest, how much (roughly) did the fit and extra parts cost. Would I need to budget on the fact that I'll need extra parts as a result of the fit?.

I got given all the measurements (for 3 fits). I wouldn't have had it done otherwise.

The only think I didn't get measurements for is cleat position as I understand this is more down to the shoe/gait than the position of the cleat (although I suppose I could get a broad idea with a few measurements of my shoe attached to the cleat). The fitter said I could pop in if I buy a new pair of shoes.

What I do need to do is have some photos/videos of me sat on the bike (whilst on a turbo trainer) so that I have a broad idea of my fit if (when  ) I buy another bike.

I have wondered the same thing myself. I will be very interested in reading the answer as I am sure that someone will know.

The seat pillar a piece of tape wrapped around it before taking out, the seat the same on the rails, the bars have a very small mark on which lines up with another one on the stem. Everything else just goes back in the same place as it is not adjustable, I do also have the measurements.

+1
I have done this myself for my self fit , also have critical measurements written down in case of a component change .I recently changed the saddle and had to correct the seat height for the difference in saddle thickness and rail height.
