Bike choices

What will you be using the bike for ? if its going to be for commuting you might be better with a hybrid and do you really need suspension forks, tbh they'll just add extra weight that you could probably do without.

i would suggest that unless you are doing most of your riding: off road and thorugh mud, really hillly area don't get a moutain bike. (if onyl i had told myself this 7 months ago)

Thanks for the replys, alot of my riding is going to be off road so a mtb seemed like the way to go.

Not a lot to say about either. but they are both built by large companies and this is their base model.
Worth looking at the GT aggressor at this price point, as its the choice of many for a very good reason

The GT is a nice bike but i can't afford the extra at the moment.

If you are anywhere near a Decathlon, I'd be more than tempted to have a look at their range.

Recently bought the missus a basic Rockrider from Decathlon, and TBH at the price point I couldn't find anything to touch it.

so you have a £250 budget is that right?
Have a look here for a far larger range of MB's, far better then the 2 you listed.
Trek, Dawes and Pinnacle, all very good makes.
