Good reviews for that Finish Line Ceramic Wax Lube. How does it hold up in the wet? I tend to use the wet lube once a week after cleaning.

As far as I am concerned it's the best lube out there.
Once a week after cleaning is all you will need and you don't need a lot either.

Just to clarify, I only use gt85 to get of water. I apply Finish Line wet lube to the chain after this. How does that wax Finish Line hold up in the wet?

Wash and lube every ride?
Where I live the lane is that muddy that the bike had to be washed after every ride and in winter i would want to get the salty crap off the chain anyhow. So rub chain clean with a rag (I use cheap face cloths and wash them as needed in a bucket) , once you get the hang of this it is fine and chain stays clean and shiny with very little effort. The apply lube and abandon. If my ride is more that roughly 50km in summer then I relube, otherwise I will leave it. Was on another wax over summer (can't remember which one but bike had just done 5,000km and only now needs a new chain). So far with no signs of rust and bike effectively now in storage until we find out if I can even walk again without crutches, I'm happy it is not going to rust with that wax on it and the chain is still shiny!

Apologies. That wasn't the point I had intended or wanted to make, sorry.

The point I failed to make was that my routine maintenance is more than enough to store the bike outside in all weather conditions and not have to worry about the chain going rusty. Washing off the dirty and salt, a quick rub down of the chain with a dry clean cloth and then an application of wax is more than enough to store the bike outside in all weather for extended periods of time, assuming the bike had some cover (in this case a £4.99 bike cover).

You will need to adjust your cleaning routine according to the season, usage and where the bike is stored. My bike was in high use (9,000km cycled this year) , so cleaning after each ride was necessary for my rural circumstances. It may not be for yours but the principle is the same.

thank you. I go under the knife on Wednesday.

I am sure that I speak for all on CC in wishing you well for your op SatNav.
(and yes, your personal health is far more important than a rusty chain!!)
....and I know you will feel guilty about this thread having changed direction from chain issues - but you shouldn't.
