I tried not wiping it but the stream of mucus makes riders behind me slip over, which isn't very sporting on the morning commute.

has nobody taught you how to empty your nostrils on the move? I would never get round if I had to stop to empty my nose. If I don't empty it breathing isn't a lot of fun.
