I live not far from the Spen Valley Greenway which is part of the Sustrans network. It is not unknown for local youths to wait around on motorbikes and relieve cyclists of their bikes, watches, phones etc.

I shall have to start carrying a proper tire iron rather than plastic things in future Did hear of a case of them tying fishing line across the path though, which is scary.
