Hi all on a ride today wanted to use my new thermal bib from funkier thought it would be warm enough on its own but it wasn't so what do I wear under it as cheap but as good as possible cheers

can you try to be a bit clearer? not sure what you are asking...

Mainly my legs though thermal bib would be okay on its own but not so do I wear something underneath

Not really, no. If the bibs are padded, nothing else is necessary. If unpadded, then presumably you are wearing shorts underneath. Either way, it's unusual for legs to get cold underneath thermal bibs. Either the bibs themselves are junk, or you are particularly sensitive to the temperature.

I bought a Lusso fleece lined bib and I wear some long johns under them failing that If still cold, get a pair of tights under them too. In my limited experiance its all about layers It was Sunny today but still quite chilly though had worked up a sweat by the time the ride was over Feet were cold though !

My thighs tend to be the bits that get cold, usually ok once warmed up though. Really cold days, altura winter cruisers over the top. I don't ride below about 5deg though

Leg warmers, they do not get in the way of the pad in the shorts and they keep your legs warm.

EBay do cheaper if you want cheaper.

That can make a big difference! If your feet get cold, it seems that they cause the legs to feel cold too. A decent pair of overshoes sorts out the feet and helps with the legs.
Yes But I was wearing a pair of them and two pairs of socks perhaps I suffer with cold feet or wasn't pedaling quite hard enough? I mean with all the extra kit on!

Try a pair of running leggings (the skin tight type) over your bib that will help you keep warm.
The leg warmers seem like a good Idea perhaps for when it gets colder Though I find that its the cold north winds that are a reall stopper
