I'm new to road bike having had mountain bike most of my life.
I'm doing the London to Brighton in a couple of weeks and I've seen a BH full carbon bike, running 105 gearing. Its half price at £620, i've researched the brand and they seem to be big in Europe and have good reviwes, however you never know who is writing them, its it worth going for an entry level carbon or stick to an alloy frame

Try a few options and see which you prefer

If you want carbon, get carbon. £620 probably won't get you a top end alu frame with 105

Never heard of BH myself

Beistegui Hermanos make some pretty fine bikes, I've seen a few, and while they were all a bit small for me, it looked like the craftsmanship and such were right up to par. I think it's still a family run business.
@mickle , that's an interesting little bike you have there.

I put this in the show us your cabon thread, I have had a BH for 8 years and I am happy with it but it is looking worse for wear, the laquer is bubbling everywhere on it.

The laquer is lifting all over the place on it. The only original parts are the frameset, seatpost and shifters. It has been used for audaxes, sportives, races and mostly commuting.

I see, the Beistagui brothers of Vitoria-Gasteiz, now I know something I didn't before. I'd assumed it was some sort of Spanish Decathlon type operation, anyway, if they are good enough for the hip folk of BCN to ride around on they must be pretty good. :okay:

Am I reading this correctly.....a full carbon bike with all 105s for £620.00!!!
Surely that would come under the "if something seems to good to be true" heading.
