Better brakes/ braking

Yeah I tried the cleaning before, made little difference

Hi mate. The braking system is OK its just the pads are a complete joke. I've nearly killed my self with them & in the wet they just don't want to stop you.
I changed pads to Clark's 6.99 from CRC. Bought 2 sets. Now braking is amazing with one finger. Cheap easy fix.

I will ow up and admit I searched Clarks 6.99 before realising that was what you paid

I didn't ever check my pads after I was given it, eventually I wore them down to the metal and they dug a trench in the rim (didn't notice as it happened on a long ride in the wet so I thought the 'feel' was down to the weather). They were not sat properly on the rim, in every direction possible. I bought 2 pairs of the replaceable types and fitted them properly (after smoothing the rim). The first time I used the brakes I nearly flew off the bike... Enjoy
