Best ways of cleaning/polishing a titanium frame?

Hello all

I have bought a cheap titanium frame - namely a Sabbath 5th Element MTB frame. Apparently it had been gathering dust in the shop for a year or two. It has not been used but has accumulated a fair amount of dust, finger marks and a scuff or two.

Is there a recommended way of cleaning and polishing it up? From a little Google opinions & methods seem to vary - anything from Pledge wax furniture polish to WD40.

Any advice would be appreciated.

It was afterall originaly produced for cleaning aluminium and titanium stuff on rockets.

Baby wipes, then finish off with a slight smear of baby oil to keep the finger prints off.

Take a blowtorch to it and turn the finish into Ti Oxide.... rainbow effect. Did you post pics of it up on Singletrackworld recently?

Thank you but the "rainbow effect" does not appeal to me. No pics have been posted anywhere as of yet!
