Aye, I tried it in reverse recently. I agree, much easier. That descent is crazy, though not as crazy as the descent of Tak Ma Doon when you don't notice the Ford! :ohmy:xx(

One of these, if my maw asks, it only cost £695, she doesn't have to know you still have to buy wheels, groupset, etc

Very nice! You just had to go one better than me!

Neil has one of those, doesn't he. So what groupset etc!

Yeah Neil has one of those. I had went in with the intention of getting the TK but they didn't have any in my size and reckoned he could do me a deal on the Gran Fondo. Its going to have a 105 groupset.

That'll be a super bike! I look forward to having a wee go!

Neil's putting a 39/53 on it with a 12-25 cassette, I manage fine with the Sirrus (42/50 and 12/26) so hopefully that'll be OK if not I might opt for a 12-27 cassette like you've got. Did you need to make an changes when you put the larger cassette on?

No, the chain length was just long enough. I have a spare 11-23 ultegra cassette if you want it (for a small fee of course!)

It looks a nice bike. I was looking at the Gran Fondo when I was getting my TK and was tempted, but could not justify it.
