Sorry then, I don't know what the issue could be. Unless it's just coincidence that your web speed drops when you happen to use Zoom. I'm guessing you've checked any settings available on zoom (if there are any), other than that is there a helpline or support chat? And are you using the free service or paid for?
I did wonder with other people that as the default is to not broadcast HD that that's hampering things a bit in terms of their picture quality. For mine, I'm puzzled.

Son and daughter, + partners, set up Zoom to play card games and board games on Sunday so we could all see each other- it was fantastic!
We've used Whats App and FaceTime for a few years and Skpe when they were in Indonesia and Spain [respectively] for a year, but neither beat a proper hug!
I use Teams at work and for what we use it for it does a good job. But video calling is just a small element of what Teams is for, so using it just for video calls is like getting a Leatherman just for the screwdriver.
