Actually 'A' makes a valid point about quality guitars when recording. In a recording studio it's different to live. It's amazing how much difference simple things make in there, like mic position, type of plectrum (thats a biggie for me) set up etc.
You have to be a different playe rin the studio sometimes. There is no real hiding place in the studio, if you balls up you will hear it right in your face. Better quality guitars come into their own here imho, cheap guiatrs work great live, and in many cases in the studio but to get something special you need a good front end and that starts with you, then the guitar. Forget about fx and mixfixes etc.
