Poor fella - hopefully he's okay and no harm done (and can laugh about it ) - and yes, it can definitely happen to any of us; the last FNRttC I did saw a few peeps going off down the wrong road. I gave chase and shouted them back, but when I turned in the road to head back to the group I turned too sharply, over-balanced and ended up hitting the tarmac a second later. I quickly picked myself up before anyone noticed (thankfully no cameras nearby) but ended up with lots of big lovely purple bruises all down my right side for the next week. I'd have been glad of a grass verge to face plant into ...

A marshal with the authority to stop traffic I expect too since they put out road closed signs temporarily as the race convoy passed!
