Hi all, newbie here, just posted on Hello page but thought I might try my question here also?
My main reason for stumbling across your forum was that I was looking for a little advice on directions..
I have to get to Plumstead in London (SE 18) tomorrow. I would like to take the opportunity for a ride rather than go all the way by train, so I was wondering if anybody coyuld tell me the best route to take to get from Stratford Station to Plumstead? I realise I mustn't go thru the Blackwall tunnel, and I will have a couple of hours free to bimble along, so could anybody advise where to go, or perhaps rather where not to go?
Thanks in advance
D. Giraffe

Ride down to canning town head for the Emirates airline cable car and cross river like that . Failing that , lime house cut to rope makers fields hang a left on CS 3 to canary wharf ride to the bottom of the IOD and through the tunnel to Greenwich . Last resort ride to north woolwich use tunnel to woolwich and ride the hill up John Wilson street . Bike toaster is a good route planner google isn't too bad but some "cycle" routes are anything but on google

The Greenway all the way to its end in Beckton, then the Gallions Reach cyclepath and a short on road section to North Woolwich. Catch the Woolwich Ferry & from Woolwich it depends on what bit of Plumstead you want.
