I once owned a Daccordi with Super Record throughout, it was the most beautiful thing to come out of Italy since Gina Lollobrigida and a pleasure to ride so in terms of price to quality ratio I would say that.
But I sense yours is a more utilitarian question so I would have to agree with Shimano 105

Old stock XT is always available at a good price while I find SLX lacks the value/solidity ratio of XT in comparison.

Agree 105 now 22 speed much cheaper than ultegra not as agricultural as SRAM,and spares and back up cheap and available all over the world!

Always liked the quality of XT. No perceivable difference in performance to XTR, but much more cost effective. I would actually choose XT over XTR anyway, even if cost wasn't a factor!

Logically I'd have to admit best bang per buck is 105.
But I much prefer SRAM so bugger logic and get Rival.
