That would involve acquiring another cable...Googling the specific error message brings up lots of hits saying that garmin cables work best...until they don't

I use what ever cable i have at hand, nothing special about the cable. as long as it fits, Why would you have to do a reset?

I only have Apple cables, exactly

Garmin told me to do a reset as the unit won't communicate with PC. Get error message with Garmin cable

Anyhow won't be cycling until March so no rush to sort
