I've never been but a few of our friends had good reports of Centre Parcs when their children were about the same age as yours.

Local pool, you provide the bikes and routes..

Yep we don't often go on a "holiday", last proper one was 4 years ago. We do want a package deal with stuff laid on. We go on bike rides and to the local pool every week - we need something, um, more!!!

@slowmotion - yes I've heard good things about Centre Parcs from family and friends so it's a possibility.

Why not find a nice bit of countryside somewhere where the biking is good and there is a nice pool in a nearby town. Then camp (my girls loved camping) or B&B? We used to go to Pembrokeshire and the sea was our pool (I know - not indoor but if it's raining you get wet anyway and the beach is lovely and quiet).

A lot of large caravan sites have pools and entertainment.

Centreparcs, can be as expensive as you want them to be. I have heard a lot of positives, we last visited one 23 years ago.

Strangely enough we go to Pembrokeshire every year - Mrs Thomk has family there, it is great as you say.

Laying my cards on the table - we want a break from organising, cooking etc etc. I want a load of stuff LAID ON

UK as per thread title. Mrs Thomk and the kids don't mind a caravan but I'm not a Lilliputian and want more space.
